Objectives

The purpose of this website is to document my own personal setup and to help individuals who want to secure their DSL Internet connectivity.  My objective for the setup has always been to create a secure, high speed connection to the Internet while providing the following services:

  • Service a small LAN of personal computers that share the Internet connectivity and various other peripherals

  • Provide email hosting for the domain the-woods.org
  • Host various websites for personal and professional purposes
  • Security, Security and more Security

This page is written with the assumption that the reader has some level of Internet and basic TCP/IP networking knowledge.  It is also worth noting that I have DSL through Cincinnati Bell's Zoomtown.  The details in this website document my setup with that provider.
